Problem Solving
I first look at what is not working, who is affected and what a useful outcome should look like before deciding how to build the solution.
I am a South African software developer and systems developer, and the founder of DL Systems.
I build websites, business systems, booking platforms, dashboards, automation tools and custom software. My focus is on understanding the problem clearly and developing technology that people can use with confidence.
I created DL Systems as a way to turn my technical training into complete, working projects. Instead of limiting my development to tutorials or classroom exercises, I began building systems that could be used by real businesses, schools and service providers.
That work has given me experience across responsive web development, application planning, backend logic, database-backed systems, customer workflows, deployment and project improvement.
I am not tied to one framework or one type of project. The technology depends on the problem. Some projects need a focused website. Others require a booking system, dashboard, automation workflow or custom application.
Good software starts with understanding the people, process and responsibility behind the project.
I first look at what is not working, who is affected and what a useful outcome should look like before deciding how to build the solution.
I consider how pages, users, information, workflows and business rules connect instead of treating every feature as an isolated task.
The result must work across devices, communicate clearly and support the people expected to use it after launch.
Every project reveals better ways to structure, test, document and deliver software. I carry those lessons into the next build.
My background in Systems Development gave me a foundation in programming, web development, databases and structured problem-solving.
My experience in retail operations added an understanding of customer service, sales pressure, reporting, daily administration and the importance of tools that do not make work more difficult.
Together, those experiences influence how I approach software. I think about the code, but I also think about the person using it, the business relying on it and the consequences when a process is unclear.
My experience covers frontend development, backend applications, databases, business workflows, version control and deployment.
Zitha Barbershop is a business application built around bookings, customer information, service workflows and administration.
It represents my progression from developing public-facing websites to building software that manages information and supports daily operations. It is one project in a wider portfolio that also includes school websites, service-business platforms, automation work and other digital systems.
My value comes from both technical ability and the initiative to apply it through complete, publicly available projects.
I created DL Systems and continued building outside formal training to turn technical knowledge into working evidence.
I have worked through planning, interface development, backend logic, database integration, testing and deployment.
I understand that software exists within real operations involving customers, deadlines, staff members and financial pressure.
I try to understand the cause of a problem before changing the system or adding unnecessary functionality.
I continue improving my understanding of backend development, databases, software structure and professional delivery.
I take responsibility for the result, review mistakes honestly and improve the work when the first version is not strong enough.

For collaborators, it creates a clear view of the systems, industries and technical areas in which I am interested in working.
The technology depends on the project. My broader focus is software and systems development rather than being limited to one framework.
I continue strengthening my full-stack development, database, automation and software-design skills through practical projects and continuous technical learning.
